Recommended double-pointed needle size 3½ and 4 mm / US 4 and 6.
1 m / 40 inches of scrap yarn in a contrasting color.

Gauge:
24 sts and 48 rows (24 garter ridges) on needle size 3½ mm / US 4 = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.
24 sts and 30 rows in pattern on needle 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches.

Directions:
The mittens are knitted in the round from the wrist up.First, make a garter ridge edge with 1 color. Later, themulticolored pattern is made in stockinette stitch. Stitchesfor thumb are set aside, and the mitten is finished. Then,gather the stitches for the thumb and knit this in pattern.
